1/3 Ramadhan in Taiping

7th Ramadhan had gone.
Alhamdulillah, as for this year, I managed to have 1/3 of Ramadhan in Taiping with beloved parents. And Tarawikh as well. Kalau last year Tarawikh dapat 1 malam je, Insyaallah bilangan tu akan bertambah tahun nie. Working on shifts nie memang susah nak dapat routine life. Berbuka pun kelam kabut, kadang on time, kadang lewat. Patient pun kadang tu macam tak paham yang kita nie pun berpuasa jugak. Respect waktu berbuka at least. Waktu solat pun tak tentu. One of the reason that I got myself transferred to other department is because of this. Biarlah orang nak kata "eh, ko baru keje, keje la lama sket kat dalam ward, nanti skill tak mantop". I think that statement is applicable to those who wish to become a nurse sampai pencen. Habis tu bila nyer skill nak gempak? After how many years of experience yang u consider ada experties tu? Benchmark apa yang u pakai untuk consider u skillful enough ke tak? And the most important thing, sape yang cakap nak jadi nurse kena skillful gila baru boleh jadi nurse?? Kalau dah hebat gila pun tapi kerja kt dept CSSD (Central Sterile Supply Department) tak guna jugak. I became a nurse just enough for me to manage minor illness dalam family e.g for my parents, my siblings, my future husband and in laws. Other than that, pepandaila buat itu ini dengan ilmu nursing yang ko ada tuh. Insyaallah, I believe Allah will reward me with other opportunities. Macam mana rezeki nak berkat kalau yang wajib pun asik delay delay?  But those were just an opinions. Takda sape boleh kata betul atau salah. Up to you to digest the facts.

Whatever it is, I am so happy I was given an ample time to have my Ramadhan with my parents. Sahur dan solat berjemaah. But kalau abang abang and sis ada lagi best. Hee~

Why is it soo hard leaving Prince Courtians?

Prince Court is a private hospital located in Kuala Lumpur and was one of the Petronas subsidiaries company. Ecece..dah macam promote hospital sendiri pulak. Prince Court is my first employer after graduated in 2010. And it is the only company yang respond to my job application when i was actively seeking for a job during my final semester (sebenarnyerr). And i got hired before my final exam. So mestila final pun main main sebab dah dapat kerja. haha. Ok whatever. I've been working with PCMC for 2 years, and i was designated to the medical ward, peadiatric ward and occupational health services. And among the places, peads and OH is the best. Apa yang best being in PCMC?

1. Working environment yang sangat healthy. Everybody smile to each other walaupun tak kenal, nampak je tag hijau terus senyum. And doesn't hesitate to wish good morning ke, hello ke. Masing masing respect each other.

2. Hospital cantik, mula mula datang interview, sangat terpegun. Siap ada orang tolong bukak pintu kereta lagi. Dah macam princess pulak hihi. Tapi bila dah lama mingle around in the hospital rasa biasa je. Tapi still the best!

3. Relationship between nurses and doctors. So far, tak pernah lagi nampak gejala maki hamun doctors. Maybe because all doctors kat PCMC are consultants, and they know how to behave. Personally, i really hate doctor's punya behaviour yang suka maki hamun, cakap lebih kurang, marah tak tentu pasal. Treat us like an idiots. Time ko housemanship dulu ko suka tak di maki hamun? Or grad MBBS terus terer buat itu ini? I've seen a houseman being knocked by the lecturer using tendon hammer! Memang tradition doctors macam tu ke?? (dekat mana? rahsia.) Come on la. We're human. Mistakes tu memang ada la. Ko pun belajar, aku pun belajar. Ok emo pulak. Next!

4. Nurses. Biasala perangai mengumpat nurses tu memang ada kat mana mana sebab ramai pompuan. Tapi kat PCMC macam kurang sket. Kalau compare dengan govt hospital sebelum nie, rasanya rate tu a little bit lower. Gejala backstabbing pun macam tak dengar. Or mungkin ada cuma kita yang tak tau, or kita tak mix dengan orang camtu, or kat department takde orang camtu.

5. I nampak semua professional! Dari housekeeper sampaila ke orang atasan.

6. Bila staff sendiri yang sakit, doctors treat you right. Kadang certain hospitals, dah tau staff sendiri, buat lebih kurang je.

7. Efficiency. Kalau ada problem, insyaallah akan disolvekan tak kira la u dept lain, i dept lain, masing masing ada responsibility untuk solvekan problem tu walaupun root cause bukan dari kita.

8. Anything is possible for the patient. In PCMC, honestly, patient is the boss. I really meant it. Cuba la get yourself admitted and mintak bukan2 e.g. "i nak nurse nie je yang jaga i siang malam". Sure dapat! Or camnie. "i nak sandwich nie, nak chicken ham, taknak tomato, nak salad daun bawang letak kicap, and organic egg" Fuhh..mesti dapatnyer. I remember pushing a sofa to the playroom semata mata mummy dia nie nak duduk kt sofa time tengah monitor anak dia main kt playroom. And saya penah berkejaran ke ICU semata mata untuk carik extension plug untuk patient. Takkanla nak cakap takde extension plug kot, hospital punya besar extension plug pun takda ka?? Buat malu jewww. How do you feel bila you berada di tempat patient? Treat them the way you wanted to be treated.

And after working with PCMC for 2 years, I've got a better offer from the other company which is not a hospital tapi kilang! Tapi takpe, nak belajar memang kena susah. Gebeng. My future working place. Hewww..sangat industry. Sangat banyak kenangan best n tak best in PCMC. But surely I'll come back to you kalau tempat keje baru nie tak best. Eh? Boleh ke? =P
